We are writing to appeal for urgent support for Master Joy Udarakonda, a 2-year-and-5-month-old boy (son of Udarakonda Nanaji and Udarakonda Manisha, UHID No. CUV-00169626) currently admitted to Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Vijayawada.

Joy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a form of blood cancer, and has been undergoing chemotherapy under the ICICLE protocol. While currently in the 2-year maintenance phase following his initial 6-month intensive treatment, he has recently been hospitalized with severe pneumonia. He urgently requires continuous medical care, close monitoring, and supportive treatment, including IV antibiotics, IV anti-fungals, and nutritional support.

The estimated cost for his current hospitalization and treatment is approximately Rs. 5 to 6 Lakhs, which may rise if complications occur.

Joy’s parents work as milk vendors and face severe financial hardship. Unable to afford the overwhelming cost of his medical care, they have approached the Child Vikas Foundation for help.
