December 3 is celebrated as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities by the United Nations across the globe. Every country recognizes promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in the society. The Constitution of India recognizes this as a fundamental right and has enacted laws to help them participate in all walks of life equally and effectively.
Child Vikas Foundation (CVF) distributed more than 100 ration kits to blind families at.on occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Common people including the blind have been deeply affected by the pandemic and the consecutive lockdowns with their sources of income being depleted.
The ration and other essential items distributed to the blind families were significantly valuable for the blind families who were finding it tough to cope with the ongoing situation.
