This is regarding patient named Darshini, a 1-year-old girl treated currently under the Paediatric ICU. The child was admitted on 19th August 2023 to PICU due to complications related to Hypoglycemia. Later the child was shifted to Paediatric Medicine ward, and she was getting better and as a result the treating team was planning to discharge.

Unfortunately, her condition worsened and was shifted to PICU on 10th September 2023, and presently on ventilator support. Presently she is undergoing treatment for pituitary stalk dysfunction, septic shock, and multi-organ dysfunction with Bronchopneumonia. According to the treating team, upon further treatment child's condition should improve. The approximate cost of treatment is Rs. 5 lakhs.

The family hails from Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu and they consist of 7 members. The child's father is the primary source of income, and he is a daily wage laborer in a construction site (earns Rs 500/day). They also have two elder children (6 years and 4 years respectively). The child's mother is a homemaker. At present they are facing familial issues and hence no support from paternal side.
