She was diagnosed with CALLA-positive B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and has been started on chemotherapy as per Indian Collaborative Childhood Leukaemia (ICiCLe) protocol.

The treatment consists of an intensive phase of 6 months, followed by a maintenance phase of 2 years. Six months of treatment have been completed. However, due to ongoing fever spikes and low blood counts, the treatment will be extended.

The cost of treatment during the intensive phase of chemotherapy includes hospitalization, investigations, and supportive care. Supportive care often involves blood products, such as packed red blood cells and single-donor platelets.

The cost of chemotherapy required during the entire treatment would be around ₹2 lakh rupees.
