We are writing to you on behalf of Master K. Vihaan Karthi, a three-year, seven-month-old boy who has been diagnosed with Thalassemia. Vihaan, son of Mr. K. Raju, with UHID no: BAH-00528361, is currently admitted at Rainbow Children's Hospital.

Due to his condition, Vihaan requires blood transfusions every two to three weeks to maintain his hemoglobin levels, which is crucial for his survival and growth. The only curative option for Thalassemia is a Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT). While his sibling and parents are not a full HLA match, a 10/10 HLA matched unrelated donor has been identified, and he is planned for this life-saving procedure.

The estimated cost for the HSCT, including chemotherapy, hospitalization, investigations, stem cell collection and transplant, along with essential supportive care such as IV antibiotics, IV antifungal medication, GVHD prevention and management, and nutritional support, is approximately Rs. 19-20 Lakhs. It is heartbreaking to see young Vihaan, who once enjoyed running and playing, now weak and confined to a hospital bed. His parents, Mr. Raju and Mrs. Shirisha, have exhausted all their resources in their desperate efforts to save their son. They belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) background in Warangal and work as agricultural laborers in Nellikudur. Despite their limited income, they have done everything within their means.
