This is regarding one of our young patients named Mohammed Faruck, a 6-year-old boy diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, CLD and Bronchopneumonia. He was admitted on 22/10/2024 due to breathing difficulties and other complications related to his diagnosis. Presently he is treated in PITU under Pediatrics Unit II.

According to the assessment we identified that they are from a low socioeconomic background. The child's maternal grandparents and uncle take care of the child. The parents have left the child to the care of the maternal family due to the prolonged illness and they do not support in any means. The child was admitted on an emergency basis and the child was in PICU initially. They wanted DAMA due to financial constraints. The only stable income to the family is maternal uncle's income (welder and earns Rs. 400/day). They also stay in a rented home. In addition to this the admission to the hospital has exhausted their resources and hence, requesting help to support this needy child
