I am writing to you today regarding a young patient named Nabeel Uddin (4362737), a 15-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Nabeel is currently admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) due to fluctuations in his blood pressure. He was suddenly diagnosed with ESRD in October 2019 and has been undergoing continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) and peritoneal dialysis since then. For the past five years, he has been in regular follow-up at St Jhon's hospital in the Pediatric Nephrology Department.
Nabeel's family comes from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, and consists of five members. They live in a rented house, for which they pay Rs. 8,000 per month. The child's father is the primary source of income, working as an electrician in their hometown, earning approximately Rs. 15,000 per month. Despite their financial constraints, he has been diligent in ensuring regular follow-up care for Nabeel. The child's mother is a homemaker, and they have two other children, ages 11 and 6. To date, the family has spent around 30 lakhs on Nabeel's treatment. Understandably, the parents and the entire family are emotionally, financially, and physically exhausted. They have requested our support to continue Nabeel's treatment.
I kindly request you to review Nabeel's case and consider providing support, as the child and his family are genuinely in need of assistance.
